So want to paint my kitchen cabinets, but just too humid. I've made my own concoction using lightweight spackling (from the hardware store) mixed with matte medium and it was okay. :). Thank you! (It shouldn't take too long since there is a decent amount of beeswax in the recipe!) Lol. So, here are a few recipes for you to make your own texture: Mix stucco with PVA in the mix of 3:1 (or try different mixtures to get different results from 2:1 to 5:1) Ready-mixed plaster and PVA – similar to stucco in quantity. And since I did not know any better, I ruined so much of my good cardstock trying it out arrrrgggghh! Homemade Smooth Texture Paste 1/4 cup Talcum Powder (I used Johnson's Baby Powder, Make it smell good too!!) Let me know how it works for you. Oh my goodness, I've made my very first batch of homemade texture paste, also called embossing paste-- and I'm having a ball!
